The STARTER project run from April 2012 untill December 2014. It was funded by the European Commission's Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation under its "Intelligent Energy – Europe" Programme.

Werfenweng: recognized for sustainability

The European research project STARTER focuses on sustainable mobility in tourist areas. One of the pilot sites is Werfenweng in Austria. This location was recently named the fifth greenest “destination in the world.” The list was compiled based on six criteria related to sustainability of the destination.
